I. Chinese language and literature

Study duration & Certificate

Students are required to obtain the required credits in 3-6 years.

Graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor degree.

Application requirements

Must be healthy, have obtained a high school diploma, and be a non-Chinese foreign citizen with a valid passport.

Application deadline

August 20th of the same year (the first semester begins on Sep. 1st)

★Students applying for visa by themselves and arriving at the university before semester begins may apply beyond the deadline.

Placement examination

Students can begin their study at year 2 or year 3:

☆Students who have studied Chinese for more than one year at our school or at other formal universities, or with the certification of HSK level 5 may take the placement examination for year 2 entry.

☆Students who have studied Chinese for more than two years at our school or at other formal universities, or with the certification of HSK level 7 may take the placement examination for year 3 entry.

The examination includes a written examination and an interview. Students who are admitted must finish all courses and obtain the required credits. Students who start at year 2 or year 3 level must take the examination to obtain the missing credits from our school and must pay the examination fee.

Medical insurance

According the regulation of China’s Education Ministry, international students are required to purchase China’s medical insurance. School of International Education will collectively help with the medical insurance. Anyone who does not purchase the medical insurance will not be permitted to register.

Accommodation

Shenyang Ligong University provides international students the apartment of a three-star standard hotel. Students can also rent an apartment or other accommodations outside of the campus, but it is required that each off-campus international student register with passport and with their processed school registration receipt at the local police station with 24 hours.

II. Other professions
